WIESBADEN - Milan lead the rankings published by the International Football Federation of History and Statistics from April 1, 2003 to March 31, 2004. The ratings are based on a club's record in various competitions over the year.

Milan are top, with 328 points, then Real Madrid 309, 284 for Santos, 280 for Glasgow Rangers, 278 for Arsenal, Porto on 277, Juventus with 275, 270 for Cruzeiro and Boca Juniors, 254 for San Paolo.

The Federation [IFFHS] was founded on March 27, 1984. It's aims are to interpret football on a scientific base following the rules laid down by FIFA and in an objective manner. Based in Wiesbaden, Germany, all the information on clubs around the world can be found at its official site www.IFFHS.de. Collaborating with the team led by chief executive Alfredo W.Poge are experts who study the history of the game around the world.

Milan took first place outright in 2003 after claiming the same position in 1995 and finishing second by just one point to Ajax in 1992: this year's result is not only credible but an important and prestigious achievement for the Rossoneri club.
