Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
Rowling终于公布了HP系列第六本的名字：Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince。有趣的是，她曾经在一次采访中承认，这个标题是她原本打算用在第二本Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets的。
那么，这个混血王子会是谁呢？Rowling在个人网站上做了一点提示：
But as a little bonus, and compensation for having been messed around by Mr. or Ms. Storgé, I shall tell you one thing without making you shift any bricks at all: the HBP is neither Harry nor Voldemort. And that's all I'm saying on THAT subject until the book's published.
排除了这两个书中最著名的Half Blood，剩下的人选还真是难以让人确定。看了一些HP的fan sites，除了可能由新人物充当这个角色（reason: 每集都有新的主要配角出现，也许就是新的DADA老师），广大HP迷的猜测主要集中在：
- Remus Lupin（reason: Rowling在一次采访中透露Lupin是混血）；
- Severus Snape（reason: 魔药教授、曾经的Death Eater、Dumbledore的间谍不在乎多一个身份）；
- Dean Thomas（reason: 或者是另一个Gryffindor学生，譬如Colin, Seamus...也许他们跟Nevlile一样并不只是一个跑龙套的）；
- Dumbledore（reason: 不然他为什么一直支持混血和麻瓜进入学校？comment: 不得不承认，这个需要太大想象力了）；
- Godric Gryffindor（reason: 因为HBP曾是第二集的名字）;
- Salazaar Slytherin (reason: 他跟他的传人Voldemont一样是Half Blood却为身上的血液觉得可耻，因此痛恨麻瓜）;
- Ron Weasly （reason: 也许Arthur Weasly是Half Blood，不然Chamber of Secrets一书中，受害者为什么不是Voldemont憎恨的Mudblood，却是我们认为Pure Blood的Ginny）;
- Mark Evans （reason: 注意，他跟Harry的母亲一个姓，而且在第5集的时候10岁，第6集正好是入学年龄）;
- Hagrid （comment: nice try...）;
- Peter Pettigrew （comment: How dare you!）.
- Draco Malfoy （reason：一直鄙视mudblood的纯血王子如果最后发现自己是混血的话，会不会弃暗投明，成为Harry的战友？ comment: 真是太强大了）
- 请自由想象……
Anyway，大家猜得如火如荼，真相却只能等到第6本的面世——第5本从Rowling宣布书名和真正问世之间差了3年——就像Rowling在自己网站上劝告大家的话：Patience is the key。
